Baking is done out of love, to share with friends and family, to see them smile.

There's something quietly magical about baking, especially when it ends with a warm tray of homemade chocolate chip cookies. For me, baking has never been just about following a recipe, it's about creating small moments of comfort.

It starts with simple ingredients: real butter, pure cane sugar, unbleached flour, and chocolate chips. Nothing fancy.

But as  they come together, the kitchen fills with a smell that reminds me of home. Of my great grandmothers kitchen as she cooked everything from scratch, or my mother showing me how to cook a meal.

I've made these cookies so many times that it feels like second nature, the hum of the mixer, the careful folding of the chocolate chips, the anticipation as the dough transforms in the oven.

But the best part isn't the baking itself. It's what comes after.

The excitement on my childrens faces as I hand them the warm gooey goodness. The compliments and thanks I receive from family and friends. It makes me feel like I'm making a difference. Just by brightening one persons day, no matter how small it may seem, it makes all the difference.

So, if you take one thing away from this post, it's that I hope you prepare something with your hands, and put all of your love into it. And share that love with someone else.

The world needs more love, and more cookies.
